Wales considers implications of critical raw materials

The latest policy briefing from the Ecodesign Centre in Wales tackles the issue of critical raw materials.  The report comments that the UK economy is not as dependent on importing critical raw materials in comparison to Japan and the US.  However, the report identifies the Advanced Manufacturing Sector, which is key to the Welsh economy, as potentially being affected by materials criticality issues.  It also notes the Welsh government’s ambitions towards a low-carbon economy, which will result in increasing reliance on certain materials.
