The Ad hoc Working Group on defining critical raw materials published the “Report on Critical Raw Materials for the EU” in May 2014. The report constitutes an update and expansion on the work carried out previously in the 2010 report. The list of 14 CRMs published in 2010 has been revised, a wider range of abiotic raw materials has been analysed and selected biotic raw materials have been included in this most recent assessment. This new report identifies 20 critical raw materials for the EU.
